Scheduling Appointments:
To ensure availability, make your appointment in advance. Please let us know at this time if you are pregnant or have major health concerns. Also let us know if you have a particular preference for a male or female therapist. This will allow us to meet your specific needs to the best of our ability. Walk-ins are also welcome.
A guarantee credit card may be necessary to make an appointment. See our cancellation and no show policies below. When you schedule an appointment you have made a commitment to your practitioner for that time slot. It is important to honor that commitment. It is always best to cancel as opposed to not showing up.
Cancellations:
We understand that circumstances may arise that are unavoidable and canceling your appointment may be necessary. If you find yourself unable to keep your appointment, we request that you confirm your cancellation with us in person or by phone at least 24 hours prior to scheduled treatment time. Clients who do not honor this policy will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the full service fee of their scheduled treatment. Please note that no shows will be charged a fee equal to 100% of the full service fee of their scheduled treatment. It is always best to cancel as opposed to not showing up.
Late Arrivals:
Arriving late to an appointment will limit the time of your treatment. We do our best to end your treatment on time so that the next client will not be delayed. This courtesy will be extended to all clients. Your appointment will be held for a maximum of 5 minutes in cases when we have another client who is present and interested in your time slot. It is always best to call ahead and give us a warning if you realize you will arrive late so that we may either hold or reschedule your appointment. If we can provide you with a complete treatment we’ll be happy to. It all depends on availability on that particular day so your best bet is to be on time.

Draping & Required Attire:
FIU’s current policy requires clients to maintain a minimum of undergarments on during treatments. Professional draping is provided. See chart below for details:
Chair Massage = Client remains fully clothed.
Spa Capsule = Client remains fully clothed (remove shoes) and dry.
Facial = Client removes shirt and is provided with a facial robe.
Brennan Healing = Client remains fully clothed (remove shoes).
Rolf Method= Female clients wear sports bra & shorts. Male clients wear shorts.
Massage = Clients maintain undergarments on and are professionally draped.
Cell Phones:
We require that you TURN OFF all cell phones, pagers and any other noise makers to ensure total relaxation for yourself and other guests. If necessary, cell phone calls must be made outside our spa space in the main hallway.
Voice Volume:
Please keep your voice volume to a SOFT LEVEL while in Waves Spa. Realize that although you may not be able to see them, we do have clients receiving in-room treatments and it is our intention to uphold a quiet environment for our clients. This courtesy will be extended to you during your treatments as well. We ask that you be respectful and conscious of this policy at all times.
Personal Valuables:
We suggest that you leave all valuable items at home or in your office. Please make sure that you leave with all personal items you do bring with you. This establishment cannot assume responsibility for lost or stolen personal items.

Gratuities:
Gratuities are not included in our prices. While greatly appreciated they are never required. Tips are accepted in cash only and cannot be added to credit card charges under any circumstances. If you find yourself wanting to leave a tip for a practitioner but without cash on hand you can withdraw cash from an ATM machine conveniently located nearby. All cash tips are to be left with the receptionist who will place it in the practitioner’s tip envelope. A 15% to 20% gratuity of a single service is the average. However, your gratuity is a personal matter and should reflect what you feel comfortable giving your practitioner.
Return Policy:
Unopened products can be returned within 14 days for a full refund. Opened products cannot be returned. We do not offer refunds on services rendered. All prepaid series and packages are final sales and non-refundable. Gift Cards & Certificates are non-refundable but are transferable.
Gift Cards & Certificates:
We ask that Gift Cards & Certificates be used within the first six months from the date of purchase. Gift Cards have a cash value equal to its purchase price and can be applied towards any service. They are not refundable but are transferable. Lost or stolen Gift Cards & Certificates cannot be honored as you must have your Gift Card & Certificate present for redemption.
Only Clients are Permitted in Treatment Rooms:
Waves Spa does not permit other persons to accompany clients into the treatment room. Only the therapist and client will be permitted to enter the room. Accompanying family and friends are welcome to wait outside the treatment room in the spa’s waiting area or out front in the Graham Center hallway.

Restroom:
We ask all our clients to please use the restroom prior to arriving at Waves Spa for their treatments. We have three sets of restrooms within 300 ft of our establishment for your convenience. If an emergency is to occur during your treatment you will be able to step out to the restroom but be conscious that the time lost in going to the restroom cannot be added to your treatment time. Your treatment will end on schedule. It is for this reason that we strongly encourage you to use the restroom prior to beginning your treatment.
Wheelchair Accessibility:
Please inform us when you schedule your appointment if you need a wheelchair accessible room.
Alcohol Consumption Notification:
We advise that alcohol not be consumed 24 hours prior to or after receiving a treatment. If alcohol consumption is suspected at time of treatment, we reserve the right to cancel your session. If this occurs on your first appointment with Waves Spa the charge for your treatment will be waived. If this occurs on any recurring appointments you will be charged the full price for your scheduled treatment. Alcohol impairs your ability to sense and clearly perceive what is present in your body therefore it can impair your judgment and potentially lead to bodily harm. It is for your benefit that we uphold this policy.
Practitioners Reserve the Right to Deny or Discontinue Treatments:
If clients are inappropriate or making the practitioner uncomfortable in any way the spa and/or the practitioner has the right to deny or discontinue the treatment. If the treatment has already begun the client will be held responsible for the treatment fee. As clients it is your responsibility to be respectful and act appropriately with practitioners. Practitioners are responsible for upholding professional boundaries at all times. Safety is a priority at Waves Spa.
